RISE Above..!!

Hassled by the men in her Life, She decided to walk Alone.

Though glad at ending her turmoil, Her heart let out a moan.


Most of 'em were rude, while the others just too shy.
Yet there wasn't a single guy, In whose arms she could lie.


Crushing their memories under her feet, dumped them in a bin.
Healing all the wounds, they say, Time is the best medicine.


In Spite of all the success at work, she felt a hollow within.
Wanting to share her joy, kept looking for someone to 'lean'.


Life isn't all hunky-dory with Cushions to meet
Here's an advice for the lady to ease out the heat

"The chances of ending up with a perfect MAN, is one in a crore
Well, they don't make BOYS these days, like before..!"

Let Nature take it's course, And you shall RISE above.
Gracefully accepting him with flaws, would mean real Love.

Life sans Love..!!

The First time I noticed your smile, when I was a Sophomore,

Your face had a radiance with certainly much more in Store.

I tried several antics, just make my presence feel,

You always remained aloof, wooing you was definitely a tough deal..!

Still shy of facing you, I managed to send a friend request,

My heart failed to contain the joy & the response was NOT what I had guessed.

Only an approval would have sufficed, but you sent a message too,

The lines you wrote touched my heart & in the air I flew.

"I am aware of your moves, and your intention towards me,

However, focusing on our studies is my advice to thee."

"You are a "decent-guy", and I take you as a friend,

For you, my support I am forever ready to lend."

Days passed by and our bond grew deep,

Gradually your trust in me increased by a leap.

With you beside, even the road-side chat felt divine,

Not ever wanting to let you go, I wished to stop the time,

The day had finally come & I was sure of my plan,

Your eyes turned moist, when I asked for your hand.

Citing a reason quite absurd, you stood like a frail corpse,

It wasnt our mistake for my religion wasn't the same as yours.

Not willing to re-consider, you still stood stern as a rock,

Inspite of many futile attempts, I failed to evade the shock.

Today, The world has turned upside-down, with an irony to cry,

My wish has NOW been granted & the time refuses to pass-by.

There hasn't been a single day in the past decade, when i didnt miss you,

For me, the sole meaning of love is YOU, coz it's indeed true..!!

Mea Culpa

Sitting under the tuscan sun, as I recollect the old time.

Does make me a SHITTY-Poet, even makes me rhyme.

Of all the tantrums you kept me throwing,

It was mostly the conversations that kept me going.

Makes me elated just the way it makes me frown,

It's still had to forget those eyes deep brown.

Lately, I curse the evening we met to sort things out,

It didn't mean anything to you, even when I cried out loud.

Hanging onto your last touch, I never wanted you to leave.

Afraid of not having enough strength to heave.

Kept staring into the dark, long after you were gone,

Still craved for your love which I never won.

Composing myself all along I trotted by the law,

Quickly forgetting the grief by the scene I saw.

A girl across the street greeted me with a wink,

My eyes did lit up not even ready to blink.

Now all I can say is:-

My love for you was true even though me being a FLIRT,

Dedicating this poem to you was the least I cud do to clear the DIRT...!

Dedicated to her..!!

A girl so tender but pretty and brave,
Experienced stuff which most only crave.

Moved on fast, winning accolades and gleam,
Overlooking the silent prayers by him.

Pampered to the core she enjoyed the feeling of fame,
And still getting irritated with the care he showed just the same.

Gave a reason so lame to shove him away,
He,understanding her intent, left without having a say.

She met many hunks and still felt quite hustled,
Wondering whether he is the missing piece of the puzzle.

Years went by leaving her still searching for Mr. Right,
Contemplating his care and prayers with all her might.

Filled with regret she did re-connect with the boy,
Only to find him apprehensive about her new ploy.

She dragged on for a while trying not to let go,
Only to find the one betraying her was her own ego.

Deep down her heart she knew her mistake,
Still feeling lonely to accept her take...!!

Best Friend's Plight..!!

Stayed awake the whole night eagerly talking to Jane.

Poked me with full strength, while i battered in pain.

Left me at the bar while partying with your friend,

Thought you really cared for me when you did come in the end.

Fate pulled her away, and you got me all wet.

That was the day when we eternally met.

Threw me in rage, banged me on the wall,

Broke me into pieces so that she doesn't call.

Satisfied of the act, you watched me die,

Me being a mere cellphone didn't even know how to cry.
